Assessment of transparency of audit reports based on presentation of key audit matters

Purpose: One of the ways to enhance transparency and usefulness audit reports is include information on key matters (KAMs). In this paper, based presented KAMs, we investigate listed companies in Bosnia Herzegovina Croatia. Methodology: For purposes research, collected systematised data from published then analysed them by means descriptive statistical methods. Results: The research results show that Croatia only a few lack section KAMs there no difference between issued Big Four other firms. Herzegovina, most do not but, unlike Four, who disclose at least one KAM, firms generally present any. Additionally, differences number communicated prepared their for Herzegovina. There are also type used two observed countries. Conclusion: Having situation developing countries, obtained different results. discrepancies mainly stem varying degrees profession each country.
